Recipe: Bulgogi (korean Bbq Beef) π
Ingredients π
- 1 lb thinly sliced ribeye or sirloin steak
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
- pinch of pepper
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 1/2 small onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds (optional)

Step 1 π
In a large bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, brown sugar, garlic, ginger and pepper. Add the steak and toss to coat. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes (up to overnight).
Step 2 π
Heat a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the steak and marinade and cook until the steak is cooked through and lightly charred, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the green onions, onion slices and sesame seeds (if using). Serve hot with rice or lettuce leaves for wrapping.
