Recipe: Fried Bananas With Coconut Ice Cream π
Ingredients π
- 4 ripe bananas, peeled and sliced into 1/2 inch thick rounds
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Coconut ice cream, for serving

Step 1 π
Combine flour and sugar in a shallow dish. Place eggs in a separate dish. Place Panko breadcrumbs in a third dish. Dip banana slices in flour mixture, then egg mixture, then Panko breadcrumbs. Set aside on a plate.
Step 2 π
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add banana slices and cook until golden brown, about 3 minutes per side. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg during last minute of cooking. Remove from heat and serve warm with coconut ice cream.
