Recipe: Japanese-style Fried Rice With Egg And Vegetables π
Ingredients π
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- 1 carrot, diced
- 1 cup frozen peas and carrots mix
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste

Step 1 π
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the cooked rice and stir to combine. Cook for 5 minutes more before adding the carrots, peas and carrots mix. Continue cooking until the vegetables are tender.
Step 2 π
Push the rice mixture to one side of the pan and add the eggs to the other side. Cook until scrambled before stirring into the rice mixture. Add soy sauce and sesame oil; season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for an additional 3 minutes before serving.
