Recipe: Pho ๐
Ingredients ๐
- 8 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons fish sauce
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 ounces rice noodles
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- Toppings: bean sprouts, basil, cilantro, lime wedges, jalapeรฑos
Directions ๐
Step 1 ๐
In a large pot over medium heat, bring the beef broth to a simmer. Add the fish sauce, sugar, coriander and cinnamon. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Step 2 ๐
In a separate skillet over medium heat, sautรฉ the onion and garlic in vegetable oil until softened. Add the beef and cook until browned. Add the mixture to the pot with the broth. Simmer for 15 minutes.
Step 3 ๐
In a large bowl of hot water, soak the rice noodles for 15 minutes or until softened. Drain and add to the pot with the broth. Simmer for another 10 minutes or until noodles are cooked through. Serve in individual bowls with desired toppings.
