Recipe: Ploughman’s Lunch π
Ingredients π
- 2 slices of crusty white bread
- 2 slices of cheddar cheese
- 1 hard boiled egg, cut in half
- 1 apple, sliced
- 1/2 cup pickles
- 2 tablespoons of chutney
- 4 slices of cooked ham or bacon
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
Directions π
Step 1 π
Spread butter on one side of each bread slice. Place the cheese on one slice and top with the other slice, butter side up. Place the sandwich in a hot nonstick skillet over medium heat and cook until golden brown. Flip the sandwich and cook until golden brown. Cut into two triangles.
Step 2 π
Arrange the egg, apple, pickles, chutney, ham or bacon on a plate and serve with the grilled cheese sandwich.
