Recipe: Shawarma Wrap π
Ingredients π
- 2 cups cooked or rotisserie chicken, shredded
- 4 large pitas, warmed
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons tahini
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon ground coriander
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 1/2 red onion, diced
- 2 cups shredded lettuce or baby spinach leaves

Step 1 π
In a small bowl, combine the yogurt, tahini, garlic powder, cumin, paprika, coriander and lemon juice. Whisk to combine. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Step 2 π
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until heated through. Remove from the heat.
Step 3 π
Spread the tahini sauce over each of the pitas. Divide the chicken among them and top with tomatoes and onions.
Step 4 π
Add lettuce or spinach leaves to each pita wrap then fold in half and serve warm.
