Recipe: Spicy Plantain Chips ๐
Ingredients ๐
- 2 large plantains
- 4 tbsp. olive oil
- 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions ๐
Step 1 ๐
Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Step 2 ๐
Peel the plantains and slice them into thin rounds, about ยผ inch thick. Place the slices in a bowl and add the olive oil, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
Step 3 ๐
Spread the chips out on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 20 minutes until golden brown and crisp. Serve warm or at room temperature.
