Recipe: Spicy Shrimp Tacos π
Ingredients π
- 1 lb. raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 8 small soft flour tortillas
- 1/2 cup salsa verde
- 1/2 cup sour cream or plain yogurt
- 1 avocado, diced
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves, for garnish

Step 1 π
In a medium bowl, stir together the shrimp, olive oil, garlic, chili powder, cumin, cayenne pepper and salt. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
Step 2 π
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the shrimp mixture. Cook until the shrimp is pink and cooked through, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
Step 3 π
To assemble the tacos: Place a few pieces of cooked shrimp in each tortilla and top with salsa verde, sour cream or yogurt, avocado and cilantro leaves. Serve immediately.
