Recipe: Vietnamese Pork And Shrimp Dumplings π
Ingredients π
- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 1/4 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fish sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup minced shallots
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 24 round dumpling wrappers
- 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil

Step 1 π
In a medium bowl, combine the pork, shrimp, garlic, fish sauce, sugar, oil, shallots and pepper. Mix well.
Step 2 π
Place a heaping teaspoon of the filling in the center of each dumpling wrapper. Wet the edges with water and fold into desired shape. Place on a lightly floured surface.
Step 3 π
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add enough vegetable oil to lightly coat the bottom of the pan. Place the dumplings in the pan and cook until golden brown on one side, about 3 minutes. Flip and cook for an additional 3 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Drizzle with toasted sesame oil before serving.
