Recipe: Wonton Soup π
Ingredients π
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger root
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 teaspoons white sugar
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
- 24 wonton wrappers
- 1/4 cup chopped green onion
Directions π
Step 1 π
Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat; cook and stir the garlic and ginger until fragrant, about one minute. Pour the chicken broth into the pot and season with soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil.
Step 2 π
Drop the wonton wrappers one at a time into the boiling broth. Simmer over medium heat until the wrappers are cooked through, about 10 minutes.
Step 3 π
Ladle soup into serving bowls; garnish with green onion. Serve hot.
